Porcine IL-16 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of porcine interleukin-16 (IL-16) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, and cell or tissue lysate samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method in a double-antibody sandwich format, delivering a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL across a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL.

IL-16, also known as Interleukin 16, LCF, NIL16, PRIL16, or prIL-16 (UniProt Q70EK7), is a cytokine that plays a critical role in inflammation and immune response regulation. Dysregulation of IL-16 has been implicated in autoimmune disorders, allergic reactions, and infectious diseases, making the kit useful for studying the physiological and pathological functions of IL-16 in porcine models.

Recovery has been validated at 86–97% for serum (average 92%), 93–105% for EDTA plasma (average 100%), and 90–102% for heparin plasma (average 96%). Linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 86–101% / 96–100% / 81–95% for serum, 88–102% / 93–100% / 81–96% for EDTA plasma, and 92–102% / 90–98% / 80–95% for heparin plasma. Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.
