Porcine IFN-gamma PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS1577)

The Porcine IFN-gamma PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a quantitative immunoassay designed to measure interferon-gamma, a pleiotropic cytokine central to cell-mediated immunity, in swine samples. The kit provides a microplate pre-coated with a capture antibody specific to porcine IFN-gamma, together with a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, recombinant standards, and assay diluents sufficient for 96 assays.

IFN-gamma is secreted primarily by activated natural killer cells, CD4+ Th1 lymphocytes, and CD8+ cytotoxic T cells, driving macrophage activation, upregulation of MHC class I and II molecules, and immunoglobulin isotype switching. In swine research this cytokine is widely used as a biomarker of vaccination efficacy, viral and bacterial challenge models (including PRRSV, PCV2, and Salmonella infections), and transplant rejection studies.

Reconstituted standards and prepared samples should be aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw cycles, while unused strips should be kept refrigerated and protected from light.
