Quantitative measurement of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha (HIF1a) in porcine specimens, supplied as a complete immunoassay kit from Assay Genie. HIF1a is the oxygen-sensitive subunit of the HIF1 transcription complex, governing cellular adaptation to hypoxia by activating genes involved in angiogenesis, glycolytic metabolism, and erythropoiesis. Quantifying HIF1a protein abundance in pig models supports research into ischemic disease, solid tumor biology, cardiovascular pathophysiology, and pulmonary or renal responses to low oxygen.
The kit is built around an antibody pair formatted on a microplate, with all buffers, standards, and conjugate supplied in individual vials. Components should be stored refrigerated between uses, and the assay accommodates 96 reactions. Marked research use only, the kit complements western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows when protein-level confirmation of HIF1a induction is required in swine studies, and aliquoted reagents tolerate several freeze-thaw cycles when handled properly.
