Porcine Haptoglobin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of haptoglobin in porcine samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout at 450 nm, and the kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

In validation studies, serum (n=5) showed linearity of 87-104% at 1:2, 95-105% at 1:4, and 94-105% at 1:8 dilution; EDTA plasma (n=5) gave 82-95%, 86-101% and 85-99%; and heparin plasma (n=5) gave 84-98%, 83-92% and 85-100% across the same dilutions. Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 94% for serum (range 86-104%), 92% for EDTA plasma (range 89-96%), and 97% for heparin plasma (range 87-104%).

Haptoglobin is a key acute-phase protein associated with the response to inflammation and infection, with elevated levels linked to infection, inflammation, and liver disease. The kit is intended for research applications in veterinary medicine, animal health, and molecular biology.
