Porcine Growth Hormone/GH ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit provides precise measurement of porcine Growth Hormone (GH) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 3.75 pg/mL and a range of 6.25-400 pg/mL, making it well suited to research applications in animal science, veterinary medicine, and agricultural studies. Porcine growth hormone is a key regulator of growth, metabolism, and energy balance in pigs, and monitoring its levels supports studies of growth patterns, nutritional strategies, and livestock production practices.

Validation data demonstrate reliable performance across sample types. Linearity testing showed serum values of 86-94% (1:2), 86-102% (1:4), and 94-100% (1:8); EDTA plasma 83-99%, 84-99%, and 82-98%; and heparin plasma 80-100%, 81-98%, and 80-97%. Spike-and-recovery testing yielded ranges of 85-97% (serum, average 91%), 85-102% (EDTA plasma, average 93%), and 94-104% (heparin plasma, average 98%). The assay uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after a stop step. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
