The Porcine Ghrelin ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of ghrelin, a 28-amino acid orexigenic peptide hormone secreted primarily by X/A-like cells of the gastric fundus. Ghrelin stimulates growth hormone release via the GHS-R1a receptor and plays a central role in appetite regulation, energy homeostasis, and gastrointestinal motility.

This competitive immunoassay is calibrated for porcine samples, supporting translational research in swine models of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and gut-brain signaling pathways. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection reagent, and all buffers required to run the assay. Recommended sample volume is 50 µL per well, with results read against a standard curve generated on each plate.
