Porcine Follicle-Stimulating Hormone/FSH ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of porcine Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) levels in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. FSH is a key hormone in the reproductive system, playing a crucial role in the development and maturation of ovarian follicles in female pigs. Monitoring FSH levels is essential for understanding reproductive health and fertility in porcine species, supporting research in animal science and reproductive biology.

The assay is run in a competitive ELISA format coated with antigen, with a reported sensitivity of 14.063 ng/mL and a measuring range of 23.438-1500 ng/mL. Linearity spans 80% to 105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery ranges from 88% to 101% depending on matrix, with averages of 96% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 95% for heparin plasma. Components should be stored sealed at 2-8°C and not cryopreserved.

The workflow includes equilibrating TMB substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature, adding 50 µL of standard or sample with 50 µL of biotin-labeled antibody to each well, incubating at 37°C for 45 minutes, washing the plate, adding TMB substrate and incubating in the dark at 37°C for 10-20 minutes until color develops, stopping the reaction, and reading absorbance at 450 nm.
