Porcine Ficolin-2 (FCN2) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of porcine Ficolin-2 (FCN2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises natural and recombinant pig Ficolin-2 and is supplied in a solid phase format. It is intended for research use only.

Ficolin-2, also referred to as Collagen/fibrinogen domain-containing protein 2, Ficolin-B, Ficolin-beta and L-ficolin, is a secreted calcium-dependent GlcNAc-binding lectin thought to act in innate immunity by activating the lectin complement pathway. The protein (UniProt Q29041) has a reported molecular weight of 34,682 Da and assembles as a homotrimer that interacts with elastin, MASP1 and MASP2.

Reported performance values include a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.034ng/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.3% and inter-assay CV of 6.4%. Linearity in serum spans 102-118%, in EDTA plasma 90-120% and in heparin plasma 97-119%. Recovery averages 100% (range 94-106%) in serum and 102% (range 96-108%) in plasma. The kit should be stored at -20°C and shipped at +4°C (international: +4°C).
