Quantitative measurement of the apoptosis receptor FAS (also called APO-1 or CD95) in pig-derived specimens is delivered through this solid-phase immunoassay from Assay Genie. The kit is configured as a 96-assay panel, includes all critical reagents in a single box, and is validated exclusively for porcine reactivity, so swine samples can be measured against a species-matched standard curve without interference from non-target species.
FAS is a death-domain transmembrane receptor that triggers the extrinsic programmed-cell-death cascade upon Fas ligand binding. Tracking its expression gives reproductive biologists, hepatic-injury researchers, and infectious-disease modelers a quantitative readout of receptor dynamics in peripheral blood mononuclear cells, alveolar macrophages, lymphoid tissue, and liver biopsies from pigs subjected to PRRSV infection, heat stress, or pharmacological challenge.
Reagents include a capture-antibody-coated microplate, a biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin–HRP conjugate, recombinant porcine FAS calibrators, wash concentrate, and TMB substrate. Components should be refrigerated upon arrival, protected from light, and used before the printed expiration date to maintain inter-assay consistency.
