Quantitative measurement of diamine oxidase activity in swine-origin specimens is supported by this immunoassay kit from Assay Genie. Diamine oxidase (DAO), also designated AOC1, is a copper-dependent amine oxidase that catalyzes the oxidative deamination of histamine and other biogenic amines. Circulating DAO is widely studied in porcine research as an indicator of intestinal mucosal integrity and histamine catabolism.

The kit is configured for porcine reactivity and accepts a range of porcine-derived specimen matrices including tissue homogenates. Reagents are stored at refrigerated temperatures prior to first use and remain stable for the shelf life stated on the enclosed certificate of analysis.

Each package contains a precoated microplate and the assay reagents required to perform up to 96 assays per run, with break-apart well strips for flexible batch sizes. The kit is intended for research use only and has not been validated for clinical diagnostic decision-making in human patients.
