Porcine Defensin Beta 1 (DEFb1) ELISA Kit

Beta-defensin 1 (DEFb1), commonly called pBD-1 in pigs, is a small cationic antimicrobial peptide expressed primarily in epithelial tissues of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts. These short peptides contribute to porcine innate immunity by disrupting microbial membranes and recruiting immune cells to sites of infection. The kit from Assay Genie enables quantification of pBD-1 across multiple sample types, supporting investigations in swine mucosal immunology, vaccine development, and respiratory disease models.
