Porcine CRP ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Porcine CRP (C-Reactive Protein) ELISA Kit is a sandwich double-antibody immunoassay designed for the quantitative measurement of CRP in porcine samples. CRP is an acute-phase protein produced in response to inflammation and tissue injury, and the kit is intended for research investigating the inflammatory response in pigs and the role of CRP as a biomarker for conditions including infection, inflammation, and cardiovascular disease.

The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types. Colorimetric detection uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, wash buffer, stop solution and plate sealer. Reported sensitivity is 0.938 pg/mL, with a standard curve range of 1.563–100 pg/mL. Reported recovery averages are 97% in serum (range 90–105%, n=5), 98% in EDTA plasma (range 90–105%, n=5), and 96% in heparin plasma (range 93–101%, n=5). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 85–104%, 93–103% and 91–105% for serum; 85–99%, 84–90% and 86–100% for EDTA plasma; and 84–99%, 80–100% and 89–100% for heparin plasma (all n=5). Components are stored at 2–8°C (protected from direct light where indicated) and the kit is stable for 12 months under those conditions.

The protocol runs in six steps: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and stop solution followed by absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
