Porcine Corticoliberin (CRH) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of porcine corticoliberin (also known as corticotropin-releasing hormone or CRF) in pig-derived samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with a stated detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.054ng/mL.

According to the manufacturer's annotation, corticoliberin functions as a hormone regulating the release of corticotropin from the pituitary gland and is referenced as a biomarker relevant to the stress response and cortisol secretion. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant pig corticoliberin and targets the protein catalogued under UniProt P06296 with a reported molecular weight of 20,997 Da. It is supplied for research use only and is positioned within the neurosciences research area.

Reported linearity (N=5) across dilutions 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is: serum 83-93%, 82-94%, 97-108%, 93-102%; EDTA plasma 97-107%, 101-111%, 99-111%, 105-114%; and heparin plasma 105-117%, 110-120%, 105-115%, 108-117%.
