Porcine Connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of porcine Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF). The assay is reactive with pig samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It targets the CCN family member 2 protein, also referred to as CTGF, CCN2, Cellular communication network factor 2 or HBGF-0.8, with UniProt accession O19113 and NCBI Gene ID 100152141.

CTGF is a major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. It promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes, mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion across fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells, and enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis. The native protein is secreted to the extracellular space and extracellular matrix as a monomer with a reported molecular weight of 38,007 Da, and the assay is specific for natural and recombinant pig CCN family member 2.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.15 ng/mL. The kit is provided on a solid phase format, is shipped at +4 °C, and is stored at -20 °C. Intended for research use only.
