Description
CD62P, also known as P-Selectin, is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a central role in inflammation and thrombosis by recruiting leukocytes to sites of inflammation and contributing to blood clot formation. Elevated CD62P levels have been associated with various inflammatory and cardiovascular conditions, supporting its use as a biomarker in related research.
This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and is reactive with porcine samples. It is designed to detect CD62P in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development. Kits are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 was 90-105%, 87-97%, and 82-99% for serum (n=5); 85-102%, 87-95%, and 90-99% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 91-101%, 82-98%, and 82-98% for heparin plasma (n=5). Spike-and-recovery averaged 96% for serum (range 88-103%, n=5), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 86-105%, n=5), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 90-104%, n=5).
