Porcine BMP4 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Porcine BMP4 ELISA Kit is a Sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody detection format for the quantitative measurement of bone morphogenetic protein 4 (BMP4) levels in porcine samples. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. BMP4 is described as a key signaling molecule involved in bone and cartilage development, cell differentiation and growth, and its dysregulation has been linked to bone disorders, cancer, and developmental abnormalities.

Linearity was evaluated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) showed 87–103%, 88–105% and 86–103%; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 90–96%, 84–96% and 83–101%; and heparin plasma (n=5) showed 81–97%, 88–100% and 89–98%. Spike-and-recovery ranged from 86–103% (average 93%) for serum, 89–101% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 88–101% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB color development.
