Porcine BMP2 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Porcine BMP2 ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) in porcine research samples. The kit uses a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody detection format and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance characteristics established by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Linearity has been demonstrated for serum (87-100% at 1:2, 87-97% at 1:4, 86-104% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (87-101%, 88-93%, 82-100%) and heparin plasma (85-98%, 86-96%, 81-92%). Spike-and-recovery values are reported for serum (85-103%, average 93%), EDTA plasma (87-104%, average 97%) and heparin plasma (85-99%, average 94%).

The protocol follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow: primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution addition. The kit is supplied with a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody concentrate, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, dilution and wash buffers, stop solution and plate sealer, with components stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
