Description

A colorimetric sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of apolipoprotein M (ApoM) in porcine samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Apolipoprotein M is a key protein involved in lipid metabolism and cholesterol transport, and dysregulation of its levels has been linked to metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and potential therapeutic interventions.

Reported sensitivity is 0.094 ug/mL with a detection range of 0.156-10 ug/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported at 86-98%, 82-97% and 88-100% for serum; 88-101%, 90-101% and 80-97% for EDTA plasma; and 89-105%, 82-99% and 85-100% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges are 85-105% for serum, 86-103% for EDTA plasma, and 89-105% for heparin plasma, with an average of 96% across all three sample types. The workflow uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate development and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.

The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. The procedure follows a standard sandwich ELISA workflow of primary incubation, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, TMB color development, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
