Porcine Angiogenin (ANG) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of angiogenin in porcine samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with pig samples including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit has a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 21pg/mL. Specificity is reported for natural and recombinant pig angiogenin, also referred to as Ribonuclease 5 / RNase 5. Linearity has been demonstrated across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum (81-112%), EDTA plasma (94-116%) and heparin plasma (90-106%). The associated UniProt entry is P31346 with a reported molecular weight of 14,058 Da.

Angiogenin is a protein involved in the formation of new blood vessels. It binds to actin on the surface of endothelial cells, is endocytosed and translocated to the nucleus, stimulates ribosomal RNA synthesis, cleaves tRNA within anticodon loops to produce tRNA-derived stress-induced fragments, and induces vascularization of normal and malignant tissues. The kit is intended for research use only.
