PLCG2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of PLCG2 protein expression in cultured adherent cells. The kit supports studies of PLCG2, a calcium-dependent phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C implicated in immune response, cell growth, differentiation, and transmembrane signaling, with dysregulation linked to autoimmune diseases, cancer, and inflammatory disorders. It provides a high-throughput, lysate-free workflow suited to cell biology, immunology, and drug discovery research.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which PLCG2-specific primary antibodies capture the target, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition. Detection is performed colorimetrically at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format. Storage stability is 4 °C for 6 months.

Two normalisation methods are included to support relative quantification. An anti-human GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be adjusted to cell amounts to compensate for plating differences.
