PLCbeta3 (Phospho-Ser1105)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of phosphorylated Ser1105 on PLCbeta3, a key event in protein kinase C (PKC)-mediated cellular processes. The kit is a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay for measuring relative levels of phosphorylated PLCbeta3 in cultured cells, and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on PLCbeta3 phosphorylation.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which PLCbeta3 (Phospho-Ser1105) is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, read at 450 nm. Reactivity is established for human, mouse and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is intended for use with adherent cells.

By measuring phosphorylation of PLCbeta3 at Ser1105, the kit supports research into the regulation of cell growth, differentiation and survival, and into the role of PKC signaling in physiological and pathological processes including cancer, immunological disorders and neurological diseases.
