PKR Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the colorimetric measurement of PKR (Protein Kinase R) in cellular samples, with detection at 450 nm. It is reactive with human samples and intended for use with adherent cells, supporting studies of PKR signaling in the innate immune response and antiviral defense. The assay has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

The kit uses an indirect ELISA format in which PKR-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, while a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density. Qualitative results are obtained by normalizing absorbance values to cell amounts, allowing the assay to be used for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, and activators on PKR in cultured cells.
