PKD2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the detection of PKD2 (Polycystic Kidney Disease 2 Protein) in cell lysates and culture supernatants. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which PKD2-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyse a colour reaction read at 450 nm. The lysate-free, high-throughput protocol supports measurement of relative PKD2 expression in cultured cells and screening of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

Reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. An included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody acts as an internal positive control for normalisation, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric read. The kit is intended for research in immunology and for studies of polycystic kidney disease, in which PKD2 is implicated in renal calcium-transport regulation and disease-associated mutations.
