PKC theta Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of PKC theta protein in cells using an indirect colorimetric ELISA format. The assay is lysate-free and intended for high-throughput measurement of relative PKC theta levels in cultured cells, and can be used to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on PKC theta.

PKC theta is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, read at 450 nm. The assay is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. Two normalization methods are provided: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density after the HRP measurement.

Reactivity is stated for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, and the protocol is suited to adherent cells; suspension and loosely attached cells can be accommodated with a Poly-L-Lysine plate coating. Storage stability is given as 4°C for 6 Months.
