PKC delta (Phospho-Thr505)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric, cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the detection and qualification of PKC delta phosphorylation at Thr505 in cultured adherent cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which target phosphorylation is captured by phospho-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm upon substrate addition. Because the readout is qualitative, two reference measurements are supplied: a GAPDH antibody serves as an internal positive control for normalizing absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell stain can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The kit is intended for measuring relative levels of phosphorylated PKC delta in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors such as siRNA or chemicals, or activators on PKC delta phosphorylation. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and has a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. Target information for PKC delta (gene symbol PRKCD, Gene ID 5580, UniProt Q05655) is consistent with its known role as a phospholipid- and diacylglycerol-dependent serine/threonine kinase involved in cell death, survival, and signal transduction.
