Pim-1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate and sensitive detection of Pim-1 protein levels in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Pim-1 is a proto-oncogene serine/threonine kinase involved in cell survival and cell proliferation, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and inflammation, making it a significant biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic research.

The kit employs a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput indirect ELISA format. Pim-1 is captured by Pim-1-specific primary antibodies, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody and catalyze a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. The assay can be used to measure relative amounts of Pim-1 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Pim-1 expression. It is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, and is intended for use with adherent cells in a 96-well microplate format.

Two normalization methods are provided: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH serves as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric measurement. Storage stability is 4°C for 6 months.
