PIAS4 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed to accurately detect and quantify levels of PIAS4 (Protein Inhibitor of Activated STAT 4) in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay offers high sensitivity and specificity using an indirect ELISA format, in which PIAS4 is captured by PIAS4-specific primary antibodies and detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. The HRP enzyme catalyses a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. The kit is lysate-free, suited to high-throughput use, and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells with reactivity in human and mouse samples. It supports qualitative determination of PIAS4 concentration and can be used to measure relative PIAS4 levels in cultured cells as well as to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators.

For normalisation, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for target absorbance values, and the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric readout. Storage is at 4°C for 6 months, and the plate format is a 96-Well Microplate. The kit is intended for Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research and is applicable to adherent cells, with the procedure describing adaptations for suspension and loosely attached cells.
