Phosphatidylserine (PS) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's ELISA kit is a competitive immunoassay for the quantitative measurement of phosphatidylserine (PS) in serum and plasma, and in a range of other biological samples including cell culture supernatants, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell lysates, tissue homogenates, tissue lysates and breast milk. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm, across a stated measurement range of 0.78–50 ng/mL. Phosphatidylserine is a phospholipid with roles in apoptosis, cell signalling and membrane structure, and altered levels have been linked to Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular disorders and autoimmune conditions. The kit is labelled for general reactivity.

Supplied items are a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, sample diluent, assay diluents A and B, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate solution, stop solution and plate sealers. Most components are stored at –20 °C; the wash buffer, substrate and stop solution are stored at 4 °C. A microplate reader with a 450 nm filter is required, alongside a multichannel pipette, pipette, microcentrifuge tubes, disposable tips, an incubator, deionised or distilled water and absorbent paper.
