PFKFB2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for measuring PFKFB2 levels in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which PFKFB2-specific primary antibodies capture the target while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, providing a lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive method for detecting the relative amounts of PFKFB2 in adherent cells. It can also be used to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on PFKFB2.

The target, PFKFB2 (6-phosphofructo-2-kinase/fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase 2), is a bifunctional enzyme involved in both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a regulatory molecule that controls glycolysis. The encoded protein regulates fructose-2,6-bisphosphate levels in the heart and functions as a homodimer. Detection is read at 450 nm, with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The kit includes a monoclonal GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be used to determine cell density.

Reactivity is established for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The assay is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months.
