Peripherin Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables qualitative measurement of peripherin protein expression in cultured cells without the need for lysate preparation. The indirect ELISA format uses peripherin-specific primary antibodies and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 cells. The kit is reactive with human and rat samples and is configured for use with adherent cells, supporting screening of how treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators affect peripherin levels.

An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalizing absorbance values, while Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used in parallel to determine cell density. The kit is supplied with anti-phospho and anti-target antibodies, HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit and anti-mouse IgG antibodies, blocking and wash buffers, substrate and stop solutions, and adhesive plate seals, with storage at 4 °C for up to 6 months.
