PEA-15 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative measurement of PEA-15 protein expression in cultured adherent cells, allowing researchers to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on PEA-15 levels.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which PEA-15-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method can be applied to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences. The kit is lysate-free and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, stored at 4°C for 6 months.

PEA-15 is an ubiquitously expressed anti-apoptotic protein that regulates cell survival, proliferation and apoptosis, and also modulates glucose transport via GLUT1 and GLUT4. Reactivity covers Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with UniProt ID Q15121 and Gene ID 8682.
