PDGFRalpha Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed to detect PDGFRalpha protein levels in cultured cells using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm. The assay is reactive with human and mouse samples and is intended for adherent cells. Described as a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay, it uses an indirect ELISA format in which PDGFRalpha is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colour reaction upon substrate addition.

Qualitative measurement of PDGFRalpha expression is supported by two normalisation approaches: a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH, included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step to determine cell density after the HRP readout, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell amounts. The dynamic range is stated as > 5000 Cells. The kit uses a 96-well microplate format and is stored at 4 °C, with a stated stability of 6 months.
