PDGFB Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit for the qualitative measurement of PDGFB (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor Subunit B) protein expression in cultured cells. The assay follows an indirect ELISA format, in which PDGFB-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction at 450 nm upon substrate addition. The procedure is described as lysate-free and high throughput, allowing researchers to profile PDGFB expression and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on the target.

Reactivity has been validated for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values. After the colorimetric measurement, the Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, enabling absorbance values to be normalised to cell counts. Storage stability is specified at 4°C for 6 Months. PDGFB is a member of the PDGF/VEGF growth factor family that plays essential roles in embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival, chemotaxis, blood vessel development, and wound healing.
