PDE4D Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a cell-based ELISA kit for the accurate quantification of Phosphodiesterase 4D (PDE4D) expression in cultured cells. The colorimetric assay operates at 450 nm and uses an indirect ELISA format, in which PDE4D is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a substrate-based color reaction.

Designed for adherent cells, the kit is lysate-free and supports high-throughput workflows. It enables measurement of relative PDE4D expression across treated, inhibited, or activated samples. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to assess cell density and adjust for plating variation. Reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, with a dynamic range of more than 5000 cells. Storage stability is 6 months at 4°C.

PDE4D hydrolyzes the second messenger cAMP, a key regulator of physiological processes including inflammation, cell proliferation, and neuronal signaling. Dysregulation of PDE4D has been linked to inflammatory, neurological, and cancer-related conditions, making it a relevant target for research and drug development.
