Paxillin (Phospho-Tyr31)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this in-cell ELISA kit is designed for the qualitative measurement of Paxillin phosphorylated at tyrosine 31 directly in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format, in which a phospho-Tyr31 Paxillin-specific primary antibody captures the target and an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody catalyses a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm.

Reactivity has been demonstrated with human, mouse and rat samples, and the procedure is intended for adherent cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control to normalise target absorbance, while a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to adjust for differences in cell density. The kit supports a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, making it suitable for high-throughput work and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors or activators on Paxillin phosphorylation.

Paxillin phosphorylation at Tyr31 is a key event in cell adhesion, migration and cytoskeletal reorganisation, and the kit is intended for research into the associated signalling pathways, including those relevant to cancer progression.
