Paxillin (Phospho-Tyr118)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based In-Cell ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides qualitative detection of phosphorylated Paxillin at tyrosine 118 in cell lysates. The assay is lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive, employing an indirect ELISA format in which phospho-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

The kit enables screening of the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on Paxillin phosphorylation, supporting research into cell adhesion, migration and cytoskeletal rearrangement in which phosphorylation at tyrosine 118 plays a role.
