Pax-5 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA is designed for the precise measurement of PAX-5 levels in cell lysates and tissue samples, offering a convenient, lysate-free and high-throughput workflow for detecting Pax-5 protein expression in cultured cells and for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on Pax-5.

The assay uses an indirect ELISA format: Pax-5 is captured by Pax-5-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is read at 450 nm. Because the readout is qualitative, the included anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody serves as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density so that absorbance values can be normalised to cell amounts and plating differences adjusted.

Reactive with Human and Mouse samples and intended for adherent cells, the kit provides a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is supplied in a 96-well microplate format. It is intended for storage at 4°C with a 6-month stability and is applicable to developmental biology research, including studies of B-cell differentiation, neural development and spermatogenesis, and investigations of hematological malignancies in which dysregulation of PAX-5 has been implicated.
