Parathyroid Hormone Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Cell-Based ELISA Kit for the qualitative detection of Parathyroid Hormone protein expression in cultured cells. The lysate-free, high throughput assay uses a colorimetric method measured at 450 nm and is reactive with human samples. With a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, the kit is designed for adherent cells in a 96-well microplate format, enabling researchers to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on Parathyroid Hormone levels.

The assay employs an indirect ELISA format: Parathyroid Hormone is captured by specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is provided for determining cell density, allowing normalization of absorbance values to cell amounts. The kit should be stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 Months.
