p63 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the colorimetric detection of p63 protein expression in cultured cells. p63 is a key transcription factor involved in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis, with dysregulation implicated in various cancers, developmental disorders, and skin diseases. The kit provides a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput format for measuring relative amounts of p63 in cells, as well as for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on p63 expression.

Detection follows an indirect ELISA format: p63 is captured by p63-specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition that is read at 450 nm. The assay is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and is intended for adherent cells, with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method may be used to determine cell density, allowing results to be normalized to cell amounts and correcting for plating differences.
