p57 Kip2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the qualitative detection of p57 Kip2 in cultured cells. The assay uses an indirect format in which p57 Kip2 is captured by specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, generating a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm. It is reactive with human and mouse samples and is suited to adherent cell workflows. The dynamic range is > 5000 cells, the format is a 96-well microplate, and the kit is stored at 4°C for 6 months.

A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to determine cell density for normalisation. The target, p57 Kip2, is encoded by the gene CDKN1C and functions as a cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor that regulates cell cycle progression, with dysregulation implicated in cancer and developmental disorders.
