p53 (Phospho-Ser33)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed for research into cell signalling and cancer biology, this Cell-Based ELISA kit from Assay Genie provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for measuring phosphorylated p53 at Ser33 in cultured human cells. The qualitative assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which a phospho-specific primary antibody captures the target and an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody enables colorimetric detection at 450 nm.

A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell stain is used to determine cell density. The target corresponds to the TP53 gene product (Gene ID 7157, UniProt P04637), and phosphorylation at Ser33 is reported to influence p53 transcriptional activity and stability, with relevance to DNA damage response, cell cycle regulation and tumour biology. The dynamic range is stated as > 5000 Cells. The kit is supplied in a 2 x 96-Well Microplate format and is configured for adherent cell samples, supporting screens of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators on p53 phosphorylation.
