p47 phox Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the qualitative detection of p47 phox protein in cultured cells using a colorimetric method read at 450 nm. The assay is intended for adherent cells, and provides a lysate-free, high-throughput workflow for measuring relative p47 phox expression as well as for screening the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators. Reactivity is with human samples.

Detection uses an indirect ELISA format in which p47 phox-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalised to cell numbers and plating differences to be adjusted. The dynamic range supports a relative cell input of more than 5000 cells, and the kit is stored at 4 °C with a stated stability of six months.
