Description

Assay Genie offers a cell-based ELISA kit for the quantification of p44/42 MAP Kinase, also known as ERK1/2, a key signaling protein involved in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The kit is designed for use with adherent cells and provides a high-sensitivity, specific tool for research applications investigating MAPK signaling pathways.

Using a colorimetric detection method at 450 nm, this lysate-free, high-throughput assay operates with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The indirect ELISA format captures the target protein with specific primary antibodies, which are then detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. Reactivity has been validated for Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The microplate format is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.

To support data normalization, the kit includes a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH to serve as an internal positive control. A Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method is also provided to determine cell density, allowing researchers to normalize absorbance values to cell amounts and adjust for plating differences. This system is suitable for measuring the relative amounts of p44/42 MAP Kinase in cultured cells and for screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors, or activators on p44/42 MAP Kinase.
