Description
Phosphorylated p38 MAPK (Thr180) can be qualitatively monitored directly in cultured cells with this lysate-free, high-throughput Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie, which uses a fluorometric detection method. The assay follows an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture the phosphorylated protein and dye-conjugated secondary antibodies enable fluorescent readout, making it suitable for evaluating p38 MAPK phosphorylation and expression profiles as well as screening the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) and activators.
Reactivity is reported for Human, Mouse and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. The recommended detection is performed on a fluorescent plate reader at Ex/Em 651/667 (Dye 1) and 495/521 (Dye 2). For normalization, a monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and an antibody against the non-phosphorylated form of p38 MAPK is also provided so that the RFU values for the phosphorylated target can be normalized to those of total p38 MAPK. Associated target identifiers include NCBI Gene Symbol MAPK14, Gene ID 1432, UniProt ID Q16539 and OMIM 600289. Recommended storage is 4°C for up to 6 Months.
