p38 MAPK Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Designed by Assay Genie for the sensitive detection of p38 MAPK activation, this In-Cell ELISA Kit enables researchers to monitor p38 MAPK protein levels directly in cultured cells. The kit provides a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput assay that qualitatively determines p38 MAPK concentration through an indirect ELISA format, in which p38 MAPK-specific primary antibodies are detected by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies binding their Fc region. The resulting HRP activity is measured colorimetrically at 450 nm.

The assay can be used to measure relative p38 MAPK amounts in cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on p38 MAPK. It is reactive with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is intended for adherent cells. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.

For normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control. After colorimetric measurement, a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density, allowing absorbance values to be normalized to cell amounts.
