Description

This Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the detection and quantification of Opioid Receptor-delta protein in cell cultures. It is a convenient, lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay that uses an indirect ELISA format, in which the target is captured by Opioid Receptor-delta-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colourimetric reaction upon substrate addition.

The kit is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and uses a colourimetric detection method read at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. It is supplied in a 96-Well Microplate format and is intended to be stored at 4 °C with 6 Months stability. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising the target absorbance values, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density after the colourimetric HRP measurement.

Opioid Receptor-delta is a G-protein coupled receptor involved in pain regulation and the response to opioid drugs, making it a relevant target for research in neuroscience, pharmacology and drug development. The kit can be used to measure relative amounts of Opioid Receptor-delta in cultured adherent cells, as well as to screen for the effects that various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals) or activators have on Opioid Receptor-delta expression.
