OCT1 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

A nuclear extract-based activity assay from Assay Genie that measures DNA-binding function of the OCT1 (POU2F1) transcription factor. Built around a microplate pre-coated with an oligonucleotide carrying the canonical octamer consensus motif (ATGCAAAT), the workflow captures transcriptionally active OCT1 from prepared lysates and reports binding through an antibody-based colorimetric readout.

Reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, the kit accepts nuclear and cell lysates and is configured for 96 individual assays per kit. It is suited to studies of B-cell lineage commitment, immunoglobulin heavy chain promoter regulation, lymphocyte activation signaling, and knockdown or stimulation experiments that perturb OCT1-driven transcription. The format supports comparison of treated versus untreated nuclear extracts, dose-response work, and parallel screening of multiple experimental conditions.
