Description

The Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a high-throughput, lysate-free assay for detecting and quantifying NR2F6 protein levels in cultured cells. It uses an indirect ELISA format in which NR2F6-specific primary antibodies capture the target, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. The assay offers high sensitivity and specificity, is read at 450 nm, and is suitable for both experienced researchers and beginners.

Key specifications include reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and a 96-well microplate format. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months. It can be used to measure the relative amounts of NR2F6 in cultured cells and to screen for the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on NR2F6 expression. A monoclonal GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density and adjust for plating differences.

NR2F6, also known as COUP-TFII, is a transcription factor that plays critical roles in embryonic development, metabolism, and immune responses. Dysregulation of NR2F6 has been linked to various diseases, making it a valuable biomarker for studying these conditions and for developing targeted therapies.
