NR1I3 Transcription Factor Activity Assay

The NR1I3 (constitutive androstane receptor, CAR) Transcription Factor Activity Assay from Assay Genie quantitatively measures activated NR1I3 binding to its cognate response element. The microplate is pre-coated with a double-stranded oligonucleotide carrying the consensus NR1I3 binding site; activated receptor present in the test sample binds the immobilized DNA and is detected with a receptor-specific primary antibody, an HRP-conjugated secondary, and a chromogenic substrate that produces an absorbance signal proportional to DNA-binding activity.

Validated for human, mouse and rat nuclear and cell lysates, the kit supports research into xenobiotic induction, bile-acid homeostasis, and hepatic CYP2B/CYP3A gene regulation. Each box contains the pre-coated plate, diluents, wash buffer, detection antibody, substrate solution, and a recombinant NR1I3 reference for standard curves.
