NPM (Phospho-Thr199)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit is designed for the qualitative measurement of phosphorylated nucleophosmin (NPM) at threonine 199. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells.

The kit employs an indirect ELISA format in which NPM (Phospho-Thr199) is captured by a phospho-specific primary antibody, while HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary and catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is supplied as an internal positive control for normalizing target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step can be used to determine cell density so that plating differences can be adjusted.

Issued as a phospho-specific assay intended for adherent cells, the kit supports research into the functional significance of NPM1 (UniProt P06748) phosphorylation, which is implicated in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation and apoptosis and in pathological processes including cancer and hematological disorders.
